Covid Antibody IgG (Anti-SARS -CoV-2 IgG)

Reactive Result: This result indicates that IgG antibodies to SARS CoV 2 were detected, and the person is likely to have or previously had COVID 19 and that they have developed an antibody response to the virus.

Non reactive Result:This result means that the IgG antibodies to the virus that causes COVID 19 were not found in your sample. However, there are instances when the test gives an incorrect result (false Non reactive) in certain people with Covid 19. For instance, a false Non reactive result may be given if the person tested early in their illness and their body hasn’t had time to produce IgG antibodies to infection.
