Dr. Bhawana Aggarwal is a Clinical Geneticist with an exceptional academic background. A gold medallist from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, she completed her MBBS with top honors and went on to pursue an MD in Pediatrics at Kalawati Saran Children’s Hospital. She further specialized with a DM in Medical Genetics from AIIMS, New Delhi, one of the most prestigious training grounds for genetics in India.
Dr. Bhawana brings extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic front. She has served as Assistant Professor at AIIMS, New Delhi, mentoring residents and contributing to departmental research. Her work has led to numerous national and international publications, book chapters and conference presentations. She has developed expertise in diagnosing and managing rare genetic syndromes, inborn errors of metabolism and pediatric/ adult genetic disorders.
Currently, Dr. Bhawana heads the Department of Medical Genetics at a Super speciality Hospital at Delhi/ NCR. Prior to this, she held leadership roles including AVP at Lifecell Laboratories. With hands-on experience in advanced diagnostics and genetic counseling, she continues to provide comprehensive care with evidence based medicine and precision medicine.
