Dr. Kalpana Mehta is a highly experienced Nephrologist with over 37 years of dedicated clinical and academic expertise in the field of kidney diseases, dialysis and renal transplantation. She completed her MBBS and MD (General Medicine) from the University of Mumbai, followed by DNB in Nephrology from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. Her long-standing career has been shaped by extensive service in leading public health institutions, where high patient volumes and complex case management have strengthened her clinical acumen and decision-making.

Over the years, Dr. Kalpana has held leadership roles including Professor and Head of Nephrology, contributing significantly to the development and expansion of nephrology services. She has been instrumental in establishing advanced dialysis and transplant infrastructure, while also initiating academic programs such as DM Nephrology and fellowship courses. With vast experience in teaching, training and mentoring postgraduate nephrology students, she has also contributed extensively to research, publications and national-level academic forums.

Dr. Kalpana’s clinical expertise is backed by large-scale hands-on experience in managing dialysis units, renal intensive care and kidney transplant programs, including complex transplant procedures and high-risk cases.
