Dr. Rahat Malhotra completed his MD in Radiation Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, one of India’s leading cancer institutes, after earning his MBBS from Government Medical College, Patiala. He has also undergone extensive clinical training at Tata Memorial Hospital as both Junior and Senior Resident, building a strong academic and clinical foundation in oncology. His postgraduate research focused on genetic predictors of treatment-related toxicity in glioma patients, reflecting his early engagement with evidence-based and precision oncology.

Dr. Rahat has expertise in the management of solid tumors using advanced radiotherapy techniques and integrated systemic therapies. His clinical interests include neuro-oncology, head and neck cancers, thoracic malignancies and the use of precision approaches such as SBRT/SABR and treatment of oligometastatic disease. He is actively involved in academic research, with multiple presentations at national and international conferences, and ongoing work in areas such as CNS tumors, brachytherapy and evolving radiotherapy protocols. He believes in patient-centered oncology care, with emphasis on clear communication, multidisciplinary decision-making and individualized treatment planning, while maintaining a strong focus on preserving quality of life and functional outcomes.

Dr. Rahat is a member of professional bodies including the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), Indian Society of Neuro-Oncology (ISNO) and Asian Society of Neuro-Oncology (ASNO) and is registered with both the Maharashtra and Punjab Medical Councils. Known for his compassionate approach and attention to detail, he works closely with patients and their families to guide them through each step of their cancer journey with clarity and care.
