Dr. Tarun Jakkula is a Paediatric Intensivist with specialised training in paediatric critical care and extensive experience in managing critically ill children and paediatric emergencies. He completed his MBBS from Kakatiya Medical College, MD in Pediatrics from Siddhartha Medical College and Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care (IDPCCM) from KIMS CUDDLES, Secunderabad. He has also completed a Fellowship in ECMO, with focused training in advanced life support and paediatric critical care.
With experience across paediatric intensive care and cardiac critical care settings, Dr. Tarun has developed strong clinical and procedural expertise in the management of children requiring complex and critical care. His experience includes postoperative care of children with complex congenital heart diseases, cardiac intensive care, ECMO and renal replacement therapies including CRRT and haemodialysis. He has also been involved in paediatric transplant care, emergency resuscitation, retrieval of critically ill children, advanced airway management and ultrasound-guided procedures. His approach emphasises careful assessment, timely clinical decisions, effective teamwork and clear communication with families during critical illness.
Dr. Tarun also has a strong interest in medical education and continuous professional learning.
