Dr. Sushil Chugh is a Physiatrist or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation(PMR) specialist. He completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, followed by an MD in PMR from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, where he was a university rank holder. He further completed his Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and undertook various certified programs in pain management, diabetic foot care and biomedical research. His academic journey is backed by extensive hands-on training at prestigious institutions including CMC Vellore, NIMHANS and AIIPMR, Mumbai.
With a strong clinical and academic foundation, Dr. Sushil brings expertise in managing complex rehabilitation needs of patients with neurological injuries, pediatric disabilities and amputation. He has a keen interest in spasticity management, musculoskeletal pain management, neurorehabilitation and diabetic foot care. A seasoned presenter and contributor to national and international conferences, he has also published impactful research articles in indexed journals and co-authored a patent for a motion-sensing VR-assisted rehabilitation device. Dr. Sushil is recognized for fostering interdisciplinary teamwork and adopting holistic, patient-centered approaches to restore function and enhance quality of life.
Currently, Dr. Sushil Chugh serves as the Founder Head and Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at a Superspeciality Hospital in Mangalore. He plays a pivotal role in expanding rehabilitation services, offering hope to patients with neurological and musculoskeletal disabilities. Passionate about enabling functional independence, he collaborates closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, spine specialists and physicians to ensure integrated, outcome-focused care.
