Dr. Pooja G is a Pediatric Nephrologist who completed her MBBS from JJMMC, Davangere and went on to pursue an MD in Pediatrics at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore under Manipal Academy of Higher Education. To further specialize, she undertook a fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology from the prestigious St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore under RGUHS, equipping her with advanced skills in pediatric renal care.
Dr. Pooja has developed extensive clinical acumen through her diverse experience across pediatric wards, NICU, PICU and pediatric hemat-oncology. Her expertise includes managing complex renal conditions such as nephrotic syndrome, chronic kidney disease, renal tubular disorders and post-transplant care. She is proficient in performing pediatric renal biopsies, dialysis catheter placements and handling both acute and chronic dialysis modalities including peritoneal dialysis, SLED and CRRT. In addition to her clinical practice, she has actively contributed to research and medical education, with award-winning presentations at pediatric conferences and papers under review in reputed journals.
Currently, Dr. Pooja serves as a Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist at a Children’s Hospital in Vijayawada, where she delivers compassionate and comprehensive renal care to children. Known for her patient-centric approach, strong communication skills and dedication to academic growth, she remains actively involved in teaching and mentoring, while continuing to contribute to the evolving field of pediatric nephrology.
