Dr. Gopal Sharma completed his medical training from Maulana Azad Medical College (MBBS). He has done Postgraduation from the Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh (M.S & M.Ch. Urology). After completing his basic medical training, he received advanced training in robotic surgery through a one-year dedicated Vattikuti Fellowship for Robotic Surgery. Additionally, he received advanced training in prostate cancer diagnostics and focal therapy from Imperial College, London, UK through EUSP Fellowship.
Dr Sharma has interest in the diagnosis and management of urological cancers such as kidney, prostate and bladder cancers. He is a skilled robotic surgeon with equal competency for open, laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries. He has special interest in the diagnosis and management of prostate-related disorders such as prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Dr. Sharma is also actively involved in academic activities with more than 100 publications in National and International peer-reviewed journals. He also serves as editorial board member of various National and International Journals.
